William Campbell Students Rock! A little birdie told me that….
.....Congratulations to Abby Elder who is a recipient of the Ron V. Dolan Citizenship Award from the Bank of the James. Every year one senior is voted on by faculty to receive this award. The student receives recognition from the Bank of the James at a reception in May, in addition to a $500 cash scholarship. Way to go Abby!
........Congratulations goes out to Haley Mitchell and Ashley Connelly who auditioned and were selected to represent William Campbell in the All-District Band. Haley has also been selected to participate in the UT Honor Band.
........ Several seniors have been accepted to college! Shianh DeJarnette just received an acceptance letter from East Tennessee State and Emma Hanson is headed to Radford. Miss Haley Dell'Aria and Miss Abigail Elder are planning on attending Randolph College. Way to go girls!
........Miss Jazlynn Martell was just informed that she will receive a full scholarship to Williams College in Massachusetts! Williams College is currently ranked 1st in National Liberal Arts schools by the US News and World Report. Good work has paid off! Yay Jazlynn!
........ Congratulations to Miss Hannah Schrock and Mr. Ryan Henderson who were both chosen as Jefferson Scholar Nominees. It is an honor to receive this nomination as it could lead to a full scholarship to the University of Virginia. Campbell County Schools has had three winners since 1993 and we are hoping to add two more! This year is extra special as we usually only nominate one student. This year, the competition was so strong that we decided to send two. Congrats again!
.......Mr. Andre Reid and Mr. Trey Younger were part of a group of 10 Central Virginia high school students who successfully completed a 2016 summer leadership program. They joined with high school students from Brookville High School in Campbell County, Appomattox County High School in Appomattox, VA, and Liberty High School in Bedford, VA. We are proud of these young men!

She finds out
