All Prom tickets must be purchased by Wed. April 15th.  Also the song request box in the cafeteria will be gone Wednesday afternoon.  Please make your request by Wednesday.

All juniors and seniors are invited to attend after prom even if you do not attend prom.  After prom will start at 12:30 at Good Times in Brookneal and will end at 2:30.

Campbell County Youth Advisory Council need volunteers for a car wash at Brookville High School on Saturday, April 18th from 10-3.  If anyone is interested please see Conner Francis or Madison Decker for details.  

Seniors:  The sign-up sheet for the senior banquet is posted on Mr. Marano’s door.  Please sign-up if you are attending.

Students:  Please do not use your cell phones on the bus.  This is school board policy.

Have you always dreamed of playing the drums?  Well now in your chance.  A Marching Percussion Drumline interest meeting will be held on Thursday during the first few minutes of intervention in the auditorium.  No experience is necessary. If you are interested in Marching Drumline please stop by and see Mr. Ayers for more information.

Did you know that April 1st is National One Cent Day?  Well William Campbell is going to make everyone aware of National One Cent Day by celebrating the whole month with a Penny Drive.  All funds collected will go back to your grade level as your class fundraiser for the year.  Monies collected will help pay for field trips, prom and even graduation.  Starting today, please give your pennies to your English teacher.  The class that raises the most money by the end of April will be treated to a pizza party for lunch.

 

Central Virginia Chapter Virginia State University Alumni Association scholarship applications are available in guidance. This scholarship is for students who are planning to attend Virginia State University. Deadline to apply is April 27th.

 

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter will award scholarships to African American male senior students based on academic achievement and financial need. Nominees must have been accepted or applied to a college or technical school and have a minimum of 2.7 GPA to be considered.   Applications are in guidance.  Deadline to apply is April 27th.

 

Any student needing to go to the Driving Range needs to sign up on the door of room 103.  We must have a full group to go.

Attention seniors:  Applications are in the guidance office for 6 community scholarships.  In order to be considered for these scholarships, a student must have applied or been accepted for enrollment at a public or private institution of higher education. All community scholarship applications are due to Guidance no later than May 1st.

 

Sterling E. Meadows Memorial- $5000-for a student who has served as an outstanding representative of WC.

 

Ryan Mosby Memorial-$1000-for a student who has been an outstanding representative of our Athletic Program.

 

Elliott Davis Memorial- $1000-for student who has served as an outstanding representative of WCHS and plans to pursue a degree in Business.

 

Thomas Short Memorial- $1000 –for a student who has excelled in a Campbell County Technical program such as Agriscience, Business courses, Computer Programing, Computer Networking, Nursing, Electricity, Auto Body, Culinary Arts, or Cosmetology. 

 

Bev Jones Memorial -$1000- for a student who has made positive contributions to our Fine Arts program either through Chorus, Band, Art, or Yearbook. 

 

Jonathon Huckleby Memorial -$1000 – for a student who is first in their immediate family to attend an institute of higher learning.
