**Sports UPDATE** Varsity Softball, JV Softball, JV Baseball and Track practices are all cancelled today, Monday, April 24th.

Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in pursuing a career in the culinary arts. A culinary arts internship is being made available this summer for two weeks. An application process in addition to a meeting at the Tech Center this Wednesday, April 26th are required. Please see Mrs. Dalton by Tuesday afternoon if you would like to attend the meeting.

Senior Cap & Gown Group Pictures: Seniors need to see Mrs. Pritt to pick up a form to purchase cap and gown group pictures.

Attention high school students: If you are at least 16 years old and want to learn more about a possible landscaping job for this summer thru Southern Landscapes, there will be a meeting on April 26th during I/E in the auditorium. All Ag II, III, and IV students are required to attend. In addition, any other student who is interested may attend, but needs to see Mrs. Dalton beforehand.


Varsity Cheerleading Tryouts: Please pick up a rules packet from Ms. Crabtree before April 28th.

Attention AP Students: All AP Students will be meeting with Mrs. Dalton in the library at 1:00 pm on April 26th to complete AP exam pre-administration paperwork. This meeting is REQUIRED. Please bring a #2 pencil with you. DO NOT bring mechanical pencils as they cannot be used on answer sheets. Please see Mrs. Dalton if you have a conflict that would prevent you from attending this meeting.

Attention Biology Students: Mr. Schools is hosting after-school remediation sessions to help you prepare for the Biology SOL on May 5th. The sessions will run from 3-5pm every day, starting on Monday, April 24th and ending on Thursday, May 4th. There is an activity bus available for those you need transportation. Please see Mr. Schools in H211 to sign up.


Did you know that good used shoes can help keep a child off the street? Help a mother provide a meal for her family? Or provide a means of transportation to a person in a third world country? The William Campbell Beta Club has partnered with the Central Virginia Regional Rescue to collect gently used shoes (in all styles and sizes) that will then be distributed throughout communities in third world countries. Drop off shoes in the donation box in the main lobby. 

High School Students: A list of students who will be recognized for honor roll and principal list in May has been posted in the halls next to the English teacher’s classrooms. To be included on this list you must have been on either the honor roll or principal list for three consecutive nine weeks. If you have met the criteria but are not listed, see Mrs. Maxey by April 28th to add your name.  


Attention Seniors: The Guidance Office has received information on the following scholarships:

2017 William Campbell Community Scholarship. Deadline to apply is May 2nd.

Central VA Chapter – Virginia State University. Deadline to apply is May 5th.


Talent Show!! Do you have a special talent that you’d like to share? Then sign up for WC’s Got Talent! The talent show will be on Tuesday, May 2nd at 6:30 p.m. immediately following parent/teacher conferences. Practice times in the auditorium will be available during I/E – Please see Mr. Ayers for details.


The WC Booster Club will be hosting an 8th grade prom on Saturday, May 20th from 8-11:00 pm. The cost to attend is $10 per student. Make checks payable to WCCS.
