The Campbell County Youth, Adult and Community Services Department is taking applications from students grade 9-12 for the Campbell County Youth Advisory Council. This council will serve as youth advocates and work with Superintendent, County Administrator, School Board, Board of Supervisors, and citizens of Campbell County to plan, implement, and address needs. The requirements are to be a Campbell County resident, have at least a C average or better, interest in community service, interest in representing youth and developing leadership qualities, and have parental support. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and need to be returned to Guidance by May 4th.
There will be a JV and Varsity Cheerleading meeting today in the auditorium during I/E time for interested cheerleaders to receive try-out information.
Baccalaureate singers will have practice at 4:30 Wed. afternoon in the auditorium.
Attention Middle School Students: This is a reminder to turn in your expedited retake letters to your first period teacher or to Ms. Pugh in Guidance.
There will be a color guard interest meeting Thursday during I/E. Any students who are interested in joining the color guard should plan on attending.
Cap and gown individual picture sign-ups are on Mr. Marano’s door. Please take your gown out of the package and hang in the bathroom so the wrinkles will not be visible. The shower steam will help!

Attention girls interested in volleyball: The Virginia Tech Camp is right around the corner. All girls need to be signed up no later than May 30th. See Mrs. Martin for details. Registration can be done online. Camp is held here at WC on July 22-24.

High School Students: A list of students who will be recognized for honor roll and principal list at the awards ceremony has been posted in the halls next to the English teacher’s classrooms. To be included on this list you must have been on either the honor roll or principal list for three consecutive nine weeks. If you meet the criteria please check the list and make sure your name has been added.
Seniors: The sign-up sheet for the senior banquet is posted on Mr. Marano’s door. Please sign-up if you are attending.

Did you know that April 1st is National One Cent Day? Well William Campbell is going to make everyone aware of National One Cent Day by celebrating the whole month with a Penny Drive. All funds collected will go back to your grade level as your class fundraiser for the year. Monies collected will help pay for field trips, prom and even graduation. Starting today, please give your pennies to your English teacher. The class that raises the most money by the end of April will be treated to a pizza party for lunch.
