FFA will meet after school today – Thursday, February 16th. Please have a ride by 4:15 p.m.

 

Tennis conditioning will be held today and tomorrow (Thurs. & Fri.) from 3:00-5:00 p.m. You must have a physical to participate.

 

Attention all driving range participants – money is now due to the main office. See Mrs. Martin if you have questions.

 

Baseball tryouts will begin on February 20th. Those interested in trying out should report to the field house immediately after school. You must have a current physical in order to try out.

 

Softball practice will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of this week from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Please have a ride here by 4:30. If you cannot have a ride by 4:30, please do not stay. Tryouts and mandatory practice begin on Monday, February 20th from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

 

Campbell County and Oakes Test Prep have partnered to offer free SAT and ACT Prep. Students will learn about the various aspects of the SAT and ACT including Reading, English, Math, Science, and the Essay. The first workshop will be offered on Saturday, February 18th from 8:30-11:30 and 12:00 to 3:00 at the Campbell County Technical Center. Students are encouraged to attend both sessions of the workshop.

April 1st (ACT) 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Campbell County Technical Center

April 29th (SAT) 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Campbell County Technical Center

The CVCC English and Math Placement test for seniors planning to apply to CVCC in the fall and for any student planning to do MTA or Computer Repair has been scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd. The test will begin at 8:05 a.m. in the library. There is no cost for the test. Students need to sign up in guidance and apply to CVCC prior to testing day. Attention rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders: Are you interested in a week of exploring healthcare careers? If so, please see Ms. Pugh in the middle school guidance for more information.
