Congrats to the Varsity Baseball team for their 11-1 win over Appomattox last night.  The Generals will play Gretna at home tomorrow at 5:00.

 

Congrats to the Varsity Softball team for their 6-5 win over Appomattox.  The win raises their record to 9-4.

 

Virginia State University will have a Summer Enrichment Program in Agriculture & Environmental Science June 22-26, 2015.  Admission is restricted to rising high school juniors and seniors interested in STEM disciplines: science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and math.  Students are required to submit a one-page essay covering career goals and reasons for interest in the summer enrichment program.  There is no cost for the program and all meals are included.  Up to two $1000 scholarships will be awarded to participants who enroll in VSU’s Department of Agriculture.  For questions about the program call 804-524-5672.  Applications are available in Guidance.  Deadline to apply is May 15th. 

 

There will be Drumline practice after school on Tuesdays and Color Guard tryouts and practice on Thursdays after school.  Please see Mr. Ayers with any questions.

 

There will be a senior meeting in the auditorium today during I/E time.  If a teacher has requested you to stay for help you must report there.

 

All FFA members need to attend a mandatory meeting and workshop today after school.

 

Driving Range sign-ups are now available for June.  Please sign up on the door of room 103.  See Mrs. Martin if you have questions.  This is for sophomores and juniors only.

 

 

Attention girls interested in volleyball:  The Virginia Tech Camp is right around the corner.  All girls need to be signed up no later than May 30th.  See Mrs. Martin for details.  Registration can be done online.  Camp is held here at WC on July 22-24.
