Attention 9th Graders:  Field trip forms for Friday’s trip to Rustburg High School are due immediately.  All forms must be turned in by the end of the day to Mr. Smith.  See Mrs. Dalton if you have questions.


FFA will meet Thursday from 3-4 to work on the parade float.


This is an important announcement for 10, 11, and 12 grade students.  The CVCC Placement Test will be offered at WC on Nov 29.  Here is who should take this test:

10th  graders who are either EMF,  Pre-Calculus or Pre AP Algebra ll who are considering applying to the Early College or STEM program, or to the Central Virginia Governor’s  School.  This test is required for these programs. 

11th graders who would like to attend CVCC their senior year by enrolling in Health Sciences, HVAC, Machine Shop, EMT, or Cyber Security programs. 

12th graders who plan to enroll at CVCC after graduation.

The signup sheet is located outside of the guidance office on the table.  Students must sign up by Nov 27.


Brookville High School’s Winterguard has opened auditions to all county schools.  Informational meeting will be held on Thursday Nov 9 at Brookville High School from 6-7 to all 8-12 grade students interested. If you have questions please see Mrs. Tatum in Room 104.


Attention seniors:  Next week is College Application Week.  Many colleges will be offering application fee waivers during this week.  Mrs. Dalton will be available in the library each day next week to help students complete college applications and essays.  A list of participating colleges will be provided to seniors on Monday during Coach Davis’ Government classes.  Every senior is encouraged to fill out at least one college or trade school application next week.  Students who submit at least one application will be eligible for door prizes at the end of the week.


William Campbell will host our first blood drive of the 2017-18 school year here at WC on Tuesday, Nov 21.

There are many ways you can help, but most importantly we hope you come out to donate.  Any student age 16 or older is eligible to donate, please see Mrs. Faulconer in HS Guidance to sign up.

You are also encouraged to invite family and friends to schedule a donation appointment.  Each donation collected can save up to three lives and WC also receives scholarship money based on the number of units collected.

Thanks so much for making our blood drive a success.  Let’s make an impact on Nov 21 and add saving lives to our list of great accomplishments.


Indoor Track will start practice Monday, Nov 13.  Bring workout clothes and complete physical.
