The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Stonewall Jackson last night in the 1st round of the conference tournament. The semi-final game will be held tonight at Altavista at 6:00 p.m. Come out and support your Generals!!

 

Picture retake day is tomorrow, Thursday, November 3rd for students in grades 6-11 (and staff). Picture forms are available in the HS Office.

 

The CVCC English and Math Placement test for sophomores who plan to apply for the Early College Program or STEM and for seniors planning to apply to CVCC in the fall of 2017, and for any student planning to do a dual enrollment class next year such as machine shop has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 6th. The test will begin at 8:05 a.m. in the library. There is no cost for the test. Students need to sign up in Guidance and apply to CVCC prior to testing day. Attention Juniors and Seniors: A representative from Bridgewater College will be here on Thursday, November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. Sign up in guidance if you plan to attend this meeting.

 

Attention 9th Graders: Field trip forms for the trip to RHS on Monday, November 7th are due immediately. Please turn in your forms to Coach Slate or Coach Bolling.

 

Girls Basketball open gym will be held this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6:00. Please meet in HS Room 204 directly after school on those days. Don’t forget tryouts start next week.

 

The ASVAB Interpretation scheduled for October 28th has been rescheduled for November 10th at 8:10 a.m.

 

Senior T-shirts are now on sale in Mrs. Pritt’s room. Orders and money are due no later than November 4th.

  

Attention Seniors & Juniors: Campbell County Public Schools and Oakes Test Prep have partnered to offer FREE SAT prep classes. Students will learn about the various aspects of the SAT including Reading, English, Math, and the Essay. The session will include 6 hours of instruction from 9:00 to 4:00 with a break from approximately 12:00 to 1:00. Seniors will be given priority for the first workshops. Students are required to register for the workshops at your school.
