Congratulations to the Cross-Country team for their performance in yesterday’s meet. The team competed against Lynchburg City, and Amherst, Bedford and Nelson Counties at the meet held in Forest. Emma Scott placed 15th overall and ran her fastest time of the season. Also running their fastest 5K this season were Tyler Irby and William Kennon.


Attention Juniors and Seniors: The University of Lynchburg will be at WC for an on-site Admission visit on Tuesday, October 23rd at 1:00 pm. Seniors who wish to be considered for admission MUST have the following information ready on that day: completed application, SAT/ACT scores, and transcripts. Transcript request forms need to be turned in to the Guidance Office prior to the meeting. Sign up in Guidance by October 22nd if you plan to attend.


Attention Juniors and Seniors: Virginia Tech will be also be at WC on Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:30 am to meet with interested students. Sign up in Guidance by October 22nd if you plan to attend.


Attention 9th graders: Don’t forget to return your field trip permission slips to Ms. Hase by Wednesday, October 24th. You don’t want to miss the trip!!


Attention students: There is one (1) more day to get your 2018-19 Yearbook for the low cost of $35. After Friday, October 19th the price goes up to $50. See Mrs. Howard to purchase your yearbook today!!


Attention Seniors: New scholarships have been added to the school's website under the school counseling scholarship section:

The Noel C. Taylor Scholar-Athlete Award is now open to all senior athletes/team managers. This scholarship is worth $1000. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by November 12th.

The Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarship is now open to all juniors and seniors who plan to attend a 4-year accredited U.S. college/university. Scholarship awards range from $1,000-2,000. The main component of this scholarship is an essay written about Generals Lee and/or Jackson. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by January 25th.

The 10 Words or Less Scholarship – Do you use Facebook? Do you deserve a $500? In 10 words or less, tell us why you deserve the $500 scholarship. Deadline to apply is January 31st.

Lifetouch will be here on October 29th to take underclassmen retakes and senior formals for seniors who missed the first two sittings. Re-take envelopes are available in the Main Office. Seniors, please see Mrs. Howard to sign up for your formals.


The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at William Campbell on Wednesday, October 31st. Please see Ms. Robson if you are interested in donating blood and helping to save lives.


Attention Juniors: All class ring balances need to be paid no later than October 31st. The Herff Jones representative will be here on that day to collect any remaining balances.


There will be a Halloween Dance for middle school students after school on Tuesday, October 30th. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch. In order to attend, you must have a signed permission form and you cannot have an office referral between now and the dance. There will be a costume contest and other surprises.
