Congratulations to the Marching Generals! The band competed on Saturday at the 23rd annual Cavalier Classic at Lord Botetourt High School and won 3rd Place Drum Major, 2nd Place Percussion, 1st Place Color Guard (highest score of the day!), 2nd Place Music, 3rd Place General Effect, and 2nd Place Overall for the day beating Randolph Henry, Staunton River and Rustburg.

The Theater Club will meet from 3-5 pm on Tuesday, October 22nd. Meeting will be held in Ms. Hase's room in H107. Please have your ride ready at 5:00 pm.

Attention Juniors: There will be an SAT prep information session for ALL juniors during I/E on Wednesday, October 23rd.

Attention Baseball players: All Little Caesars orders and money are due to Coach Haga by Monday, October 28th. Turn in all orders by this date. No orders will be accepted after the 28th.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: A representative from James Madison University will be here on October 24th at 1:15 pm. Sign up in Guidance by October 22nd if you plan to attend this meeting

Attention 10th and 11th graders: Applications are available in guidance for the summer 2020 governor's school programs. Programs are offered in the Performing and Visual Arts, Agriculture, Academics and Foreign Language. These programs are residential programs where you live on a college campus for approximately 4 weeks. The application process is competitive and extensive. You must be a strong student academically and some programs require that you tested into a gifted program, such as Odyssey, during your school years. Testing is available for students who have not tested for a gifted program before. Please see Mrs. Dalton if you are interested in learning more about one of these programs or to request an application.

Lifetouch-Prestige will be here on Thursday, October 31st for a "last call" for seniors who have not been photographed for their senior portraits. The sign-up sheet is in the main office. Remember, you senior picture needs to be taken by Lifetouch in order to be in this year's yearbook.

Girls basketball open gym for 9-12th grade will be on Mondays and Tuesdays after school. 7th and 8th grade open gym for girls will be Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. If you have any questions, please see Coach Pritt in HS106.
