Attention 9th graders: Don’t forget to return your field trip permission slips to Ms. Hase by Wednesday, October 24th. You don’t want to miss the trip!!

Attention Baseball Players: Little Caesars orders will be available for pickup on Thursday, October 25th from 3:00-5:00pm in the cafeteria. Please make plans to pick up orders as we do not have space to store them.  


Attention Juniors and Seniors: Central Virginia Community College will host an Open House on Thursday, October 25th from 6:00-8:00pm in Merritt Hall on the CVCC campus. This event is open to anyone who wants to know how CVCC can help them take the next step in navigating their future. Please see Mrs. Faulconer in guidance if you have questions.


Attention Seniors: The Herff Jones representative will be here on Wednesday, October 31st during lunches in the cafeteria, taking your senior graduation products and cap and gown orders. Please stop by and order your cap and gown. A small deposit is required with your order.


Attention 10th and 11th graders: Applications are available in guidance for the summer 2019 Governor’s School programs. Programs are offered in the Performing and Visual Arts, Agriculture, Academics and Foreign Language. These programs are residential programs where you live on a college campus for approximately 4 weeks. The application process is competitive and extensive. You must be a strong student academically and some programs require that you test into a gifted program., such as Odyssey, during your school years. Testing is available for student who have not tested for a gifted program before. Please see Mrs. Dalton if you are interested in learning more about one of these programs or to request an application.


Attention Seniors: New scholarships have been added to the school's website under the school counseling scholarship section:

The Noel C. Taylor Scholar-Athlete Award is now open to all senior athletes/team managers. This scholarship is worth $1000. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by November 12th.

The Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation Scholarship is now open to all juniors and seniors who plan to attend a 4-year accredited U.S. college/university. Scholarship awards range from $1,000-2,000. The main component of this scholarship is an essay written about Generals Lee and/or Jackson. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by January 25th.

The 10 Words or Less Scholarship – Do you use Facebook? Do you deserve a $500? In 10 words or less, tell us why you deserve the $500 scholarship. Deadline to apply is January 31st.

Lifetouch will be here on October 29th to take underclassmen retakes and senior formals for seniors who missed the first two sittings. Re-take envelopes are available in the Main Office. Seniors, please see Mrs. Howard to sign up for your formals.


The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at William Campbell on Wednesday, October 31st. Please see Ms. Robson if you are interested in donating blood and helping to save lives.


Attention Juniors: All class ring balances need to be paid no later than October 31st. The Herff Jones representative will be here on that day to collect any remaining balances.


There will be a Halloween Dance for middle school students after school on Tuesday, October 30th. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch. In order to attend, you must have a signed permission form and you cannot have an office referral between now and the dance. There will be a costume contest and other surprises.
