Softball workouts will be held on Tuesday and Thursday of next week (Oct. 30th and Nov. 1st). In order to participate you MUST have a physical. Please have a ride at 4:30 pm.

 

Lifetouch will be here on October 29th to take underclassmen retakes and senior formals for seniors who missed the first two sittings. Re-take envelopes are available in the Main Office. Seniors, please see Mrs. Howard to sign up for your formals.  

 

There will be a Halloween Dance for middle school students after school on Tuesday, October 30th. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch. In order to attend, you must have a signed permission form and you cannot have an office referral between now and the dance. There will be a costume contest and other surprises. Hope to see you there!!

 

Attention Students: ASVAB Interpretation for those students who took the ASVAB earlier this month will be held on Tuesday, October 3oth at 10:30 am in the Library.

 

Attention Juniors: All class ring balances need to be paid no later than October 31st. The Herff Jones representative will be here on that day to collect any remaining balances.

 

Attention Seniors: The Herff Jones representative will be here on Wednesday, October 31st during lunches in the cafeteria, taking your senior graduation products and cap and gown orders. Please stop by and order your cap and gown. A small deposit is required with your order.

 

Attention Students: The College Night at Heritage HS that originally was scheduled in September has now been rescheduled for November 7th from 6-8 p.m. Unfortunately, we will be unable to provide transportation to this event, but parents and students are welcome to attend on their own. This is a great opportunity for students to spend an evening learning about colleges!

 

Attention 10th and 11th graders: Applications are available in guidance for the summer 2019 Governor’s School programs. Programs are offered in the Performing and Visual Arts, Agriculture, Academics and Foreign Language. These programs are residential programs where you live on a college campus for approximately 4 weeks. The application process is competitive and extensive. You must be a strong student academically and some programs require that you test into a gifted program., such as Odyssey, during your school years. Testing is available for student who have not tested for a gifted program before. Please see Mrs. Dalton if you are interested in learning more about one of these programs or to request an application.

 

Attention Seniors: New scholarships have been added to the school's website under the school counseling scholarship section:

The National Beta Scholarship Program will award over 250 scholarships, ranging in value from $1000-15,000 to deserving Senior Beta members. All 12th grade Beta members are invited to apply. The application opens on November 1st and the deadline to apply is January 24, 2019. *Members MUST be registered with the National Office by November 1st of their senior year in order to apply.
