Students should take a “selfie” (NOT WHILE DRIVING) wearing their seat belt in the car with the caption “I pledge to buckle up” and post the pictures to the social medial account of their choice (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) with the hashtag #SAVEYOURTAILGATE. Students must include their school’s name in the post and tag @YOVASO to ensure that YOVASO staff counts his/her picture in the final number for his/her school. Lastly, students are encouraged to “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Schools, organizations and communities are raising awareness of bullying prevention and teaching students how to respond effectively to bullying situations.  Each day on the morning announcements a bullying prevention tip will be read to the student body.
