Attention Seniors: New scholarships have been added to the school's website under the school counseling scholarship section:

The Horatio Alger District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Scholarship Program is offering 10 scholarships in the amount of $2000 (renewable over 5 years) to high school seniors who will enter college in the Fall of 2019. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Applications must be submitted online by October 25th.

The Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship: Imagine what your school or college campus might be like in a zombie apocalypse. Our Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship committee wants to know your plan to avoid the zombies, where you’d hide, and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive. One successful survivor will receive $2,000 towards his or her college education. Do you think you have what it takes to make the cut? Applications must be submitted online by October 31st.

The Virginia DAR Scholarship and the Virginia DAR Nursing Scholarship
are now open to seniors. This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to continue their education at a Virginia college or university. These scholarships are worth $2,500 and are awarded based on academic merit, potential for success, and financial need. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by January 2, 2019.
