Attention Juniors and Seniors:  A representative from ASVAB will be at WC on Friday, October 19th to administer the ASVAB Career Exploration Test.  Testing will start at 8:05 a.m.  Students need to sign up in Guidance by October 14th

Career Day is Thursday, October 11th from 8:30-12:30. Students will have the opportunity to talk with many businesses from various career fields. Come dressed to impress and make the most of this exciting opportunity.


High School girls interested in playing softball this spring. We will have a meeting on Wednesday morning, October 10th at 7:50 am.


FFA will meet Thursday, October 11th after school from 3-4:00 pm.


Attention Baseball Players: All Little Caesars orders and money are due to Coach Haga by Tuesday, October 16th.


Attention High School Students who have lockers on the second floor from Coach Haga’s room to Ms. Layne’s room. You will not be able to access your lockers on Wednesday, October 10th until 5th period. Please make sure you have everything you need for classes when you leave Tuesday afternoon. This is due to the SATs and PSATs. That whole section of the hallway will be closed to students and staff during this time.


The Beta Combined Induction will be held on Wednesday, October 17th during I/E. All Jr. Beta membership fees are due by this Thursday, October 11th.


The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at William Campbell on Wednesday, October 31st. Please see Ms. Robson if you are interested in donating blood and helping to save lives.


Attention Juniors: All class ring balances need to be paid no later than October 31st. The Herff Jones representative will be here on that day to collect any remaining balances.


Attention Juniors and Seniors: Radford University will be here on Tuesday, October 16th at 9:00 am to meet with interested students. Sign up in Guidance by Oct. 11th if you plan to attend.


There will be a Halloween Dance for middle school students after school on Tuesday, October 30th. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch. In order to attend, you must have a signed permission form and you cannot have an office referral between now and the dance. There will be a costume contest and other surprises. Hope to see you there!!


Attention Seniors: New scholarships have been added to the school's website under the school counseling scholarship section:


The Horatio Alger District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Scholarship Program is offering 10 scholarships in the amount of $2000 (renewable over 5 years) to high school seniors who will enter college in the Fall of 2019. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Applications must be submitted online by October 25th.

The Unigo Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship: Imagine what your school or college campus might be like in a zombie apocalypse. Our Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship committee wants to know your plan to avoid the zombies, where you’d hide, and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive. One successful survivor will receive $2,000 towards his or her college education. Do you think you have what it takes to make the cut? Applications must be submitted online by October 31st.

The Virginia DAR Scholarship and the Virginia DAR Nursing Scholarship
are now open to seniors. This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to continue their education at a Virginia college or university. These scholarships are worth $2,500 and are awarded based on academic merit, potential for success, and financial need. Applications must be turned in to the counseling office by January 2, 2019.
