WC Yearbook is having a Super Summer Selfie Contest. Send or bring in your best Super Summer Selfie for a chance to be featured in our 2015 – 2016 yearbook. Email your submission to Mrs. McGuire at cmcquire@campbell.k12.va.us or deliver it to Room 110. You must provide the picture, your name and grade level. All selfies are due by September 30th.

 

General Fans come on out to the football game Friday night and meet Miss Crabtree on the track @ 6:40 and help form a spirit line and cheer our boys on to a victory!

 

Attention juniors and seniors: A representative from Randolph College will be here on Tuesday, September 22nd at 1:30 p.m. Sign up in Guidance by Friday if you plan to attend this meeting. This is an on-site admissions visit which means you will be informed by the end of the day whether or not you will be admitted. See Mrs. Maxey for a transcript request when you sign up.

 

Attention juniors and seniors: A representative from Salem College will be here Friday, September 18th at 1 p.m. Sign up in Guidance by Thursday if you plan to attend this meeting.

 

On October 9th, WC will be having a pink out game. T-shirts are on sale now by pre-order only. Youth sizes are $10 and adult sizes are $12. Balloons may also be ordered and will be released in memory or to honor a cancer survivor for $3. See Mrs. Yuille to place your order today. Pre-orders will end September 25th.

 

Congratulations to Haley Mitchell as she was asked to join the Lynchburg Symphony Youth Orchestra this past weekend. All her hard work paid off and WC is proud to have a General join the orchestra.

 

Congrats to 7th grader Jacob Hanson for participating in the Lynchburg College Jazz Fest. He was the youngest player to participate. Way to go Jake!

 

Beta Officers for the year will be Dylan Boggs as President, Nathan Williams as Vice President, and Jordyn Hamlett as secretary/treasurer.

 

At 7:45 tomorrow (Wed) morning there will be a Spirit Club meeting in the library. We will discuss ideas and decorations for Homecoming, Holidays, spring time, and Prom. Please come to the library if you are interested in being a part of the club. Middle schoolers are welcome to attend too!

 

Attention juniors and seniors: A representative will be at WCHS on Friday, September 25th to administer the ASVAB Career Exploration Test. Testing will start at 8:10 a.m. Students need to sign up in guidance by September 22nd.

 

The area College Night Program will be held at EC Glass High School on September 16th from 7 – 9 p.m. Representatives from over fifty public and private colleges and/or universities will be present. Juniors, seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.

 

There will be a bus transporting juniors and seniors to College Night at EC Glass. Please sign up outside of Ms. Reynolds and Mr. Marano’s door.

 

Students may now pre-order their yearbook. A basic yearbook is $35 while a yearbook with a nameplate is $40.  The price will go up on November 1st so get yours now while it is cheap! In addition, all senior ads are due December 1st.  See Mrs. McGuire or Mr. Meadows to place your order.
