Girls Basketball: There will be a girl’s basketball practice Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Students are to report to Coach Carmichael’s room (HS 204) directly after school on Tuesday.

 

Any girl interested in going to the basketball camp at Randolph College on October 1st, please see Coach Carmichael in Room 204 for a form.  If you have money, please turn it in to her ASAP.

 

The Creative Writing Club will meet on Tuesday, September 27th at 3:00 p.m. in Mrs. Whetsell’s room (HS 102).

 

Senior Cap and Gown Meeting: The Herff Jones representative will be here to meet with seniors on Wednesday, September 28th at 8:15 a.m. in the Auditorium.

 

Any student interested in joining the WCCS Leadership Club needs to see Mrs. Hanson by Tuesday, September 22nd.

 

Attention Students: There will be an interest meeting for the Dungeons and Dragons Club in Mr. Schools Room (H211) on Wednesday, September 28th at 7:40 a.m. Please see Mr. Schools if you have any questions.

 

Pep Club: This Friday’s game is going to be a Glow-Out! The pep club is selling glow stick necklaces and bracelets for the game. (1 necklace and 1 bracelet for $1.00). See Mrs. McGurie to purchase yours today! Necklaces and bracelets will be handed out on Friday.

 

Seniors: Please stop by Mrs. Pritt’s room (HS 106) to vote for a senior t-shirt design. Voting will end Friday afternoon, September 30th.

 

Attention Juniors Interested in a Career in Engineering: BXWT offers a program that allows students to work on projects with engineers to learn about engineering principles. Students who are interested in participating in the BWXT mentor program need to come by guidance and sign up to be considered. There will be two students chosen for fall and two for spring. You will need to provide your own transportation to participate. Deadline to sign up is Friday, September 30th.

 

Attention 7th Grade Students: Would you like to explore the world of health and medical careers through various medical specialties and departments at Centra Health? If so, see Ms. Pugh in middle school guidance for an application. Participation is limited and parent permission is required to attend this field trip. Applications should be turned in to Ms. Pugh by October 5th.
